Making professional support more personal

Here Are Some Of The Sessions We Offer

At Flexible Options, we offer a wide assortment of activities and groups that are person-centred, unique and fun. Predominantly the sessions we offer are only available with a referral from a social worker, though we run a few "open sessions", which can be found by following this link

We love animation at Flexible Options and run digital and stop-motion sessions. Each session is tailored to the individuals' ability and experience and is assisted throughout to tell their story. So far we have supported individuals to make both short animations as part of a first time experience and long digital movies.

Calum Payne the creator of animated cartoons such as "The Adventure Of Bimbo" & "Marvin The Robot Detective" is interviewed by Rebecca Cunningham. Originally aired as part of "The Adventures of Bimbo" Ep9 which can be found by following this link.

Callum is extremely talented and loves creating a stop-motion world based around the goings on of a place called "Apple Town". Callum's character Bimbo and friends have been on many adventures and each episode he produces is better than the last. Every episode is written, directed and animated by Callum and he also records all the voices for the characters and chooses which music will go with the scenes he has created.

Here we present a limited series created by one of our animators Tom Armstrong who is an extremely passionate and talented individual who works at an incredible rate. He has probably animated 2 films in the time it has taken you to read this.

Tom has this to say about the animated series.

“Here is my first look of my first mini-series project "Deputy Warmwell" Based on Warmwell by Parkdean This is my first Mr. Parkdean spin off into the series.”

Here we present Linda's first animation created at our Friday open session. After talking with Linda about what she would like to animate we helped her write a script. Linda then drew the characters and backgrounds required the started animating. One of the highlights of the animation for us is when Cartright utters the line “ha-ha, I win” which always gets a chuckle. It's an outstanding video and Linda was extremely proud of her accomplishments.

Arts & Crafts

At Flexible Options, we love arts & craft and explore it in many ways. Sessions are pitched at the level of the individual and have previously included such activities as bookmaking, painting, collage, t-shirt printing, amongst many others.

Cooking & Baking

At Flexible Options, we offer a variety of cookery & baking sessions in which individuals learn how to prepare food that is healthy and tasty. Kitchen etiquette and safety is taught alongside preparation of raw ingredients and following a recipe. Individuals are encouraged to be as bold in their cooking as they are in their lives.

“Eddie’s Veg” is our very own Internet-based cooking show. In each episode, "Eddie" and Steven tackle recipes from around the world and present them in the classic style. Here is a playlist of all the "Eddie's Veg" episodes so far.

The Explorer groups that we run have one main goal and that is to get out there and explore places of historic and cultural significance. These sessions are also used to assist individuals with various elements of environmental and personal safety whilst in the community and how to utilise local travel networks to increase independence.
